UPR 2021 Ram TRX 6.2 Catch Can/One Way Breather - Black
This all new design allows you to have the best of both worlds - a high quality UPR oil catch can, and a one way breather all in one! When your engine is producing boost, cylinder pressure goes up and blow by is inevitable. When you modify your truck with aftermarket pulley kits, for more boost and more power, Higher levels of boost + higher levels of blow by = higher crankcase pressure. UPR's new design allows the excess crankcase pressure to force the patented internal one way valve open, releasing pressure by venting it to the atmosphere, which increases horsepower while extending seal and gasket life! The catch can features Multiple Chamber and Multiple Stages along with a complex series of Coalescing Filters at different micron levels. Along with being the only Plug N Play„¢ Catch Can System featuring a solid, easy to use mount to the passenger side fender, this system also features a quick release knob that allows you easily remove the catch can for servicing. To release the Plug N Play„¢ fittings, just push the button on the fittings to be able to remove the entire catch can without any tools.
The high quality filter on the catch can is easily washed with warm water and mild detergent like dish soap. In fact, you could clean the entire catch can with the same mild detergent. If you are planning on building a high boost beast out of your TRX, this is the catch can kit for you!
Upgrades / options available:
The UPR catch cans have an O ring seal on the containment cup. Replacement O rings are available if you lose, drop, or tear an O ring when servicing the catch can. It's not a bad idea to have a spare set in the glove box.
The Billet Pro Series check valve is a larger, higher flowing check valve than our standard check valve. It generally will increase the vacuum through the catch can and equate to better PCV evacuation. Better evacuation can translate to better MPG and low speed drivability. If you plan on adding a Supercharger or Turbo kit, this is recommended.
