Creating a thermal barrier that protects the mounts from engine and exhaust heat, along with other ambient elements that can reduce the longevity of the mounts.Made from crushed, melted and then fibered volcanic rock, Lava Motor Mount Shield can be used in both street and racing applications. Designed to withstand continuous temperatures of 1200F, Lava Motor Mount Shields are heat, water, chemical and even acid resistant.The shields install in minutes, and usually removal of the motor mounts is not needed for installation.
